Drum Major
Designed for our marching band conductors, the Drum Major track is designed to offer students specialized training in basic conducting, score study, and advanced conducting techniques. While in the Drum Major track, students learn a range of conducting skills in a dynamic environment including count offs and cut offs, odd meters, preps, cues, style, facial expression, hand independence, etc. Drum Majors receive helpful one on one instruction and direct feedback on their conducting throughout the week.
Field Technicians
Field Technicians are taught a variety of leadership and instructional techniques needed to run rehearsals, sectionals, and have a successful band season. The Field Tech track focuses on advanced drill reading, marching technique, show design, visual concepts, and teaching techniques for maintaining pace. Students will be given the opportunity to practice teaching techniques on one another and the staff, as well as receive direct feedback throughout the week.
