In the collegiate track, I gained a close group of friends, and I learned how to effectively manage my time and resources. As independent as this track is, you grow the most attached to the others who are in this track, and throughout the week, you definitely form a family and a bond that carries over even after the week is done.

Scott Reese Leadership Camp is truly a life changing experience. While there is no doubt that each camper acquires a vast amount of new skills—whether in conducting, marching, or leadership—I believe that the people that attend the camp are a large part of what makes it a worthwhile experience. Everyone loves what they are doing, puts their heart fully into everything, and become like family by the end of the week. Each year I go home with new friends, motivation, and ideas on how to help my band succeed and how I can be a better person.
